Presidential Debates come to Paxon Hollow! All the teachers and students at Paxon Hollow Middle School have been actively involved in learning about the upcoming Presidential Election.
Mrs. Terri Harper, 8th grade American Studies teacher organized a mock debate on October 27th. The students worked very hard and provided an informational, as well as an entertaining performance. Mock elections took place on October 28th and the results were forwarded to the state and Paxon Hollow will receive the statewide results.
From the Principal: Thank you for coming to visit with our school community during parent visitation days. It was nice to see so many parents here. The clocks go back, the winds are rustling the leaves -- we are in the throes of fall! There are some exciting events planned for you and out students. Please take advantage of all we have to offer!
We are trying to make entering and leaving the school parking lot safer for our children. As a result, we have ten visitor parking spots in the front row. Parents please use these spots when dropping children off in the morning or picking them up after school. All other parking is by permit only. Teachers are assigned parking places. Please do not park in any numbered spots. If you are stopping by after 9 a.m. and before 2 p.m., it is fine to park at the curb for a few minutes.
This month our seventh grade will be making their annual trek to the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia. This trip is a component of an interdisciplinary unit on tolerance done by the Delta and Chi teams. Tolerance becomes a central theme in English, Communications and Social Studies classes, and runs through December.
