Russell Slideshow of Current Events!

You have just received your child’s progress report. Please take the time to talk to your child about their successes and areas for growth. In November, we hope to see every one of you at Parent/Teacher conferences. We appreciate those of you who have been able to come to Classroom Visitation to observe teaching at its finest. We are very proud of our faculty and staff and all that we do here at Russell. I thank you for your positive comments and your recognition of the hard and important work that our teachers do every day.

Thank you for joining the PTO and for supporting the fundraisers. PTO is an excellent organization that devotes money, time and resources to benefit the children of Russell School. I hope to see you at PTO meetings this school year. The meetings are informative and fun, and we need your ideas and support.

Please do not have your children come back to the school after dismissal to get homework or forgotten books. We nderstand that occasionally children forget things, but they should have a back up plan such as phoning a friend, checking the teacher’s website or planning to complete the work the next day. While I admire those of you who do not want to “let them off the hook,” it becomes a logistics problem in answering the door after hours and walking kids to classrooms that
are either locked or unattended.

Our Halloween Parade will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 31st on the lower playground. We hope to see you there!
