Parent Permission to Use Technology

The District is finalizing preparations for our continuity of education plan, which includes several virtual platforms options.  Keeping in mind the various capabilities of these platforms, we are requiring guardian permission for students to participate within these tools, which may include video conferencing.  These tools are free cloud conferencing solutions that can be used for small or large group meetings. These platforms allow for robust audio, video, file, and screen sharing. They also foster interaction with collaborative editing and polling.

These interactive learning experiences will not be recorded by the Marple Newtown School District, and students, parents, and guardians are prohibited from recording any of these interactive learning experiences.  Guardians will need to opt their child in by completing an electronic permission form. The form can be found on our website as well as by using this link.

Technical Assistance Request Form

For our Technology Department to better serve you, the District has established a technical assistance request form.  This form will allow our Technology Department to more efficiently troubleshoot and provide answers. This request form can be found by clicking here.

MNSD COVID-19 update 3-22-20

Dear Marple Newtown School District Community,

As we begin our second week of our statewide closure, I would like to share some reminders and communicate a few updates.

For our families with no electronic device in their home for their student to access online learning opportunities, the MNSD will be distributing laptops on tomorrow, Monday, March 23rd.  The distribution will take place at the Marple Newtown High School from the hours from 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. To assist our technology team in preparation for parents to pick up a laptop, we require that you complete a laptop request form by clicking this link. One laptop will be distributed per family as needed.
