Here Comes the Bus

The Here Comes the Bus application will be turned on after September 23, 2022. This delay is to ensure all bus information is accurate. During the first two weeks of school, bus routes need to be adjusted due to capacity and schedule issues.

Marple Newtown School District Transportation Department has a fleet of 92 buses and vans and a work force of over 120 drivers and aides who transport over 5000 students to public and private schools in Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Chester counties.

The Transportation Department routes school buses in the most efficient manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation law, School Board guidelines and professional student transportation assessments regarding establishment of safe school bus stops. We are confident that all necessary steps have been taken to provide the best possible means of transportation for your children.

Schedules and bus stops may change from year to year to accommodate population changes in the community. Also, during the first few weeks of school, adjustments will be made to the schedules. Your children may be instructed by the driver to be at the bus stop earlier than scheduled to deliver students to school on time. Children should be at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Requests for bus stop changes must be addressed in a letter to the transportation department for consideration.
