Here Comes the Bus

The Here Comes the Bus application tracks your student to and from school. See information on the right-hand side bar of this page.

The Marple Newtown School District Transportation Department has a fleet of 102 buses and vans and a work force of over 120 drivers and aides who transport  4600 students to public and private schools.

The Transportation Department routes school buses in the most efficient manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation law, School Board guidelines and professional student transportation assessments regarding establishment of safe school bus stops. Requests for bus stop changes must be addressed in an email to the transportation department for consideration.

Schedules and bus stops may change from year to year to accommodate population changes in the community. Also, during the first few weeks of school, adjustments will be made to the schedules. Your children may be instructed by the driver to be at the bus stop earlier than scheduled to deliver students to school on time. Children should be at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

For the protection and safety of the driver and all students, video and audio recording devices may be utilized on school buses or school vehicles. The District reserves the right to use any video and audio recordings for purposes of implementing student or staff discipline under provisions of the School District's Policies, Student Discipline Code, and the Public School Code.
